The mountains around Telluride are carpeted with Amanita muscaria near the Porcini-producing conifers. Raised in Siberia and moving to the United States in 1998, Irene pursued masters degrees in pharmacology and psychotherapy to expand her knowledge of natural therapies, which include mushrooms. In this rare talk, she discusses case studies of 3000 international participants who were using Amanita muscaria for anxiety and depression, substance abuse, skin conditions, allergies, hormonal dysfunctions and much more. This talk also covers suggested dosage, toxicology, and effects or reactions on the gastrointestinal tract. Different forms of administration such as dry powder, ointments, and tinctures are also discussed.
