Microscopy is an essential tool for the identification of microbes including fungi. Over the past few decades, the prices of very good quality compound microscopes can come way down, making it affordable for more and more "citizen scientists" to make use of this tool...but it does require some expertise. Dr. Amy Honan and her crew of experts (with decades of expertise) will instruct this completely hands-on course in basic microscopy. Bring your own mushrooms to examine...and even if you don't, there will be fresh specimens on hand for everyone to use.

Hosted at the Curiosity Shop
