Workshop: "Playground"- Sign-Making, Costume Design and Kid's Puppet Show

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Create your very own counter-culture mushroom signs and wearable fungus at this playground equipped with all your usual and unusual art supplies. Armed with the internationally renowned wearable sculpture artist and two time Telluride Mushroom Festival Costume Competition winner Riitta Ikonen, you’ll be propelled to the mycelial hall of fame and this year’s gold medal at the costume competition could be yours!
Pop in and make a quick-fix fungal suit for the parade, meet your soulmates who also want to play the parts in the life cycle of dung-loving fungi, or bring your own half-finished caps and we’ll help you fill them with sporulating spores. You can also come create tenderly and perfect that slow growing crust all body crochet unitard for the money shot/ your new book’s author page pic.
Bring along anything from fishing poles to bicycle helmets and turn them into paradeable caps/stipes/hyphaes here -off-beat gear is hot currency at this playground. No booking necessary.

In addition, check out the kid's puppet show onsite, presented to the public after 2 workshop sessions (Thu & Fri at Ah Haa School) to create creative mushroom characters and stories.
